Will GTA VI have an honor system? The new icon explained
A positive reaction to interacting with a dog points to a possible honor, reputation or affinity system, but its purpose is not confirmed.

The scene behind the question
At one point in the presentation, Jason pets a dog and a smiling icon appears in response. It is not simply a button prompt: the symbol is shown after the interaction, as if the game has registered a positive reaction.
The signal resembles feedback used by other games for affinity, reputation or honour. However, the Extended Look shows no meter, explanatory menu or later consequence, so any specific label remains provisional.
Three plausible explanations
The first possibility is a broad morality system that accumulates positive and negative actions, similar in intention to Red Dead Redemption 2's honour. The second is local reputation: particular groups or residents of Leonida may remember Jason and Lucia's behaviour without reducing it to one global score.
The third, and safest reading from the available image, is contextual affinity. The icon may indicate that an animal, companion or specific character responded positively. One interaction cannot tell us whether that effect leaves the scene or persists through the game.
Why it is too early to call it an honour system
Rockstar has confirmed choices capable of affecting the protagonists' relationship and has shown a world with more complex reactions. That makes behavioural memory credible, but it does not prove the existence of a single moral scale or that the game rewards one particular way of behaving.
GTA usually presents morally ambiguous characters and systems built around practical consequences. Reputation by area or relationship would fit just as well as classic honour. Until a menu or repeated consequence is shown, that distinction matters.
What Rockstar would need to show
Confirmation would come if the same icon appeared after different actions, changed a relationship or could be checked from a menu. It would also help to know whether Jason and Lucia share a score or build separate reputations.
For now, the conclusion is limited: GTA VI provides positive feedback for certain interactions and its world appears to remember more than before. Calling it honour is a reasonable hypothesis, not an official name or a fully described mechanic.
